More about Leslie

An experienced communications strategist, Leslie has more than a decade of leadership in internal and executive communication, media relations, social media and marketing.

She's led internal communications for a 15,000-person global division of Lockheed Martin, where she devised and executed innovative programs, including the first intranet for this unit and an engaging employee ethics program. While there, she also handled multiple employee communications crises, most notably the 2010 Haiti earthquake which affected 50 employees and subcontractors. In her external roles at Lockheed Martin, she shepherded multiple successful campaigns, including leading communications on the winning bid for a $1B Federal Bureau of Investigation biometrics contract. She was also instrumental in issues management for the Transportation Worker Identification Credential program, a Department of Homeland Security initiative.

As part of LinkedIn's corporate communications team, Leslie led public relations for the company's technology innovations related to content, profile, and network features. While there, she also co-led the twice-monthly All-Hands, one of the most highly rated employee communications vehicles the company has.

Leslie led communications for Reputation.com, the leading privacy and online reputation management technology company for the consumer and enterprise markets. In that role, she reported directly to the CEO and founder, where she built a proactive executive communications and media relations program, successfully led the company through communications surrounding a data breach, launched the company's two major office expansions, created social media campaigns, and managed two public relations agencies.

She enjoys helping leaders find their authentic voices - and her written work on behalf of clients has appeared in Forbes, Harvard Business Review, Inc.com, The Guardian, LinkedIn and other outlets. Leslie takes special satisfaction in partnering with executives and companies to develop strategies that move the needle on thought leadership, reputation, employee engagement and retention, and culture-building. She holds an MA in Communication from the University of Maryland and a BA in International Relations from Michigan State University.
